Need some help deciding

Just recently bought a used 2021 Africa Twin Standard DCT with about 13k miles. I'm 5'8" and have only ridden it about 150 miles so far. Now im considering transitioning to a used 2024 Adventure Sports model mainly for the lower seat height and 19" front wheel. I found one with just 500 miles for around $16k, which is actually $2.4k cheaper OTD than what I paid.
Before I make a move modding like, Givi panniers, top box, fog lights, etc., Im wondering, would it make more sense to switch to the 2024 now, or wait for the latest model?
 
Hey there I remember when I was looking at bikes that seat height was a big deal for me too at 5'9. If that '24 Adventure Sports fits you better and you are saving money I would say go for it because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush with new models.
 
I think switching up is better cos the newer models have comfort upgrades and a better setup for your height. Waiting for the latest model might mean a longer stretch without the gear and fit you want and plus yoo you can start putting any mods you want already

$16k for 500 miles is excellent, especially being $2.4k cheaper OTD than your current bike. That's essentially a trade up and you get money back. you know, the latest model doesn't really have that many new features. it'd be pretty much the same. if the condition is excellent, I'll take home the 2024 one

Honestly, if the 2024 Adventure Sports feels more comfortable and fits your needs better, I'd say go for it now. There's no point waiting and dealing with that seat height issue you're having now. You can do the switch. Nothing much will change in a span of a year anyway.
 
That totally makes sense! If the 2024 Adventure Sports suits you better and feels more comfortable, making the switch now seems like a wise choice instead of just sitting on it. The seat height can definitely impact how you enjoy your ride
